GURGANIOUS, MALPASS, ROCHELLE posted by Felicia Bridges on Tuesday, April 25, 2000

I'm seeking information on either of these family names in the Pender, New Hanover, Onslow county area. Specifically I'm looking for information on Finn GURGANIOUS, married to Sally ?, then upon her death to Dincy MALPASS. Finn and Sally's daughter, Mildred, b. 5 April 1915 is my husband's grandmother. On the ROCHELLE side, I'm looking for Sebastien ROCHELLE, no wife's name, father of Robert Rochelle, born probably about the time frame as Mildred (they were husband and wife). Any additional information on the families would be appreciated.

MILLIS posted by Bret on Saturday, May 13, 2000

Hello. I am trying to find out info on the MILLIS/Horne Family Cementary located on Millis Farm Road off Highway 210 less than a mile from the Junction to Rocky Point. I have been trying for a long time to find out any info on this cementary and about my ancestors who are buried there an the land history itself. I have been puzzled for a long time how half of the family is buried here the other where the old church at the 210 juction used to sit before it was moved. I have been to this site before and to the Burgaw Courthouse and I can't find out anything about my ancestors. Is there anyway to find out about my ancestors past in Hampstead, North Carolina? Any info would be geatly appreciated. Thanks

She had a sister that was called Rena Beasley. Both girls were orphaned when their parents died of the choleria epidemic. Family remarks were that they were raised by a Bryant or Bryan Family and taught to do expert sewing. Their parents were Jacob Beasley and Susan R. Mahn. It was said that Rena married a Larkin.
