According to her death cetificate dated 21 Nov 1913 from Pender Co., North Carolina, her parents were Daniel MILLIAN and Annie HENDERSON. I was told by an aunt that Sarah was a McMILLIAN before she was married. Any information would be helpful. Thanks,

Published sources say Susan's maiden name was DEBOSE, but I have yet to find proof of this. Their son, Jacob Swinson GURGANUS, is my husband's grandfather. Due to the untimely deaths of Jacob and his wife, their children were placed in an orphanage and knew very little of their background.
