I am the daughter of George David WALKER; son of Holden Franklin WALKER; son of David Franklin WALKER; son of Elija WALKER. I have been told that Elija was married 6 times and had 48 children. I am searching for information on any of the above and most particular about Elija. David Franklin's mother died when he was 11 months old. I wonder how many children were had by each of the other 5 wives; what happened that ended the marriages; Just anything that adds to the geneology and any anectdotes. I'm guessing that Elija was born about 1825-35. Thanks.

HENRY: I have letter dated March 3, 1917 from Ivanhoe, NC This letter is to my Grandfather: Daniel A. HENRY who was living in FL at the time. The letter is signed: Aunt Lizzie. In the letter she mentions having five head of children, 3 girls and 2 boys: Willie, George dancy: girls are Minnie, Harriet, and Edna. She also mentions John who I assume is her husband. The two girls Minnie and Harriet also include notes and Minnie says she will turn 14 this coming June, which means she was born in 1903. They both sign their letters as "your cousin" Harriet HENRY and Minnie HENRY. If anyone recognizes any of these names please contact me. gypsyjean45@aol.com Thank You Carol

Wish to learn about J.H. (James)Cashwell & wife Martha Jackson. I believe they are the parents of my husband's grandfather, Thomas Cashwell. The family was listed on the Bladen Co.,1870 census but Thomas name was evidently omitted. The family could not be located in Bladen,Cumberland, Columbus Counties in 1880. If you have info that puts these people in Pender County, after 1870 I'd like to hear from you. Thomas married Sarah Florence Stubbs. They lived & died in Hope Mills, NC.

PIGFORD Searching for information on any Pigford family in Pender County (also married daughters). Several families left NC and moved to MS in early 1800's, but some stayed in NC. Note to Martha Wilkie: I read your Dec 2000 Query and tried to contact you, but your e-mail address does not work. Hope to hear from you.
