They were married abt 1851. Their children are: Sarah Elizabeth, born abt 1852, she married Edward J WALKER, 1878; William E, born abt 1854, he married Alice JONES, 1881; Laney A,born 1857; Alice, born abt 1859, she married Edward DEWEY, 1878; Mary, born abt 1861, she married John REAVES, 1881; John, born abt 1865, he married Mary HERRING, 1884. Any information on this family or their descendants would be appreciated.

WATKINS posted by Pam Mullinax on Wednesday, March 11, 1998: Since Pender County, NC was formed in 1875 from New Hanover County, where will records be for the timeframe up to 1875 - Pender or New Hanover? The target of my search, the parents of Heskit Watkins, who was born abt. 1804 in NC. We believe his father to be a John WATKINS, born abt. 1780 in Watha, NC of the now current Pender County. At least, if he wasn't born there, someone seems to have traced him to there from England. Any and all information would be appreciated. Thanks, Pam
