Looking for information on James MCLENDON who died in New Hanover County about 1849. Also, his son, Thomas A. MCLENDON born 24 December 1826. Thomas was my Great-Great Grandfather. James MCLENDON married someone with the maiden name of DOTY. Can anyone help. Seems that our side of MCLENDON clan came out of nowhere - as far as we can find out. Fred Hintze

My GGGrandfather Charles J. PRIDGEN born about 1829 in New Hanover was married to Eliza(beth) K. ANDREWS born about 1847 also in New Hanover. I have further information of the PRIDGEN line, but nothing of the ANDREWS. Would like to know the parents of Eliza(beth) and any other information of that family. Will gladly share all that I have on the PRIDGEN line! Thanks!

Am seeking information on all BARNHILLs in Edgecombe and the surrounding counties. I am in the process of updating a book on the BARNHILLs that I published in 1994 and would like to include as many of the Eastern North Carolina BARNHILLs that I can locate.
