Obituary of Louise Wells Rivenbark -- 2008





Louise Wells Rivenbark surrounded by her loving family went to be with her Lord 
on Saturday, Feb. 23. She fought a long courageous battle with lung cancer and 
she never smoked.

She was born November 5, 1927 in Pender County to the late Floyd and Lotia 
Rivenbark Wells. In addition to her parents she was also predeceased by her 
husband, Woodley Rivenbark; brother, Bailey Wells; and sisters, Hazel Pierce 
and Annie Worrell. 

Surviving are her sons, Roger (Teresa) Rivenbark and Robert “Bobby” Rivenbark 
both of Watha; daughters, Marinas (Byron) Jones of Fairview, Julie (Jamie) Moore 
of Teachey, Debbie (Ronnie) Godwin of Burgaw; two grandsons, Jason (Jessica) 
Godwin of Burgaw and Adam (Jennifer) Rivenbark of Texas; five granddaughters, 
Anna (Jimmy) Lytle of Fairview, Brandy (Al) Miller of Wilmington, Tracy (Nick) 
Buckner of Rose Hill, Annie Sanderson of Watha, and Naomi (Paul) Wagner of 
Florida; three great grandsons, Dakota Lytle, Issac Salzler and Cademon Miller; 
one great granddaughter, Savannah Wagoner and brother, Burnell (Nell) Wells of 
Watha.

Graveside funeral service was Monday, Feb. 25, at Riverview Memorial Park with 
the Rev. Byron Jones officiating. The family would like to express their appreciation 
to Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter, 222 S. 17th St., Wilmington, NC 
28401 and ask in lieu of flowers memorial gifts be sent to them.
